Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

• The manuscript is original and is not under consideration by another journal.
• Every author has approved the manuscript, authorship order, and submission.
• The work falls within the journal’s aims and scope.
• The manuscript follows the prescribed structure and formatting requirements.
• All figures, tables, equations, references, and supplementary files are complete.
• Third-party materials carry appropriate acknowledgement and permission.
• Funding, competing interests, data availability, ethical approval, and artificial intelligence use have been disclosed.
• The language has been carefully checked and professionally proofread where necessary.

Submissions containing plagiarism, fabricated data, manipulated results, false authorship, undisclosed competing interests, or serious formatting deficiencies may be rejected without external peer review.

Author Guidelines

Scope and Article Categories

The Praxisara Journal of Sustainable Engineering publishes original and significant research concerning sustainable engineering, renewable energy, clean technologies, environmental systems, green infrastructure, sustainable materials, circular economy, computational engineering, industrial sustainability, and related interdisciplinary areas. The journal accepts the following categories:

• Original Research Articles present new experimental, computational, theoretical, or field-based findings.
• Review Articles provide a critical and systematic assessment of established or emerging research.
• Case Studies examine the practical application of engineering methods or sustainable technologies.
• Technical Book Reviews critically evaluate important books and technical publications.

Every submission must demonstrate scientific originality, methodological reliability, engineering relevance, and a clear contribution to sustainable development.

Manuscript Length

The recommended manuscript lengths are:

• Original Research Articles should contain between 3,000 and 6,000 words.
• Review Articles should ordinarily contain between 5,000 and 7,000 words.
• Case Studies should not normally exceed 4,000 words.
• Technical Book Reviews should contain between 1,000 and 1,500 words.

The prescribed word limits exclude the abstract, references, tables, figures, captions, appendices, and supplementary materials.

General Formatting

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word or OpenDocument format. The main text should use Times New Roman, 12 point font, justified alignment, and 1.5 line spacing. Headings and subheadings must follow a clear and consistent hierarchy. Authors must use the International System of Units and maintain consistency in terminology, symbols, abbreviations, equations, measurements, and decimal notation throughout the manuscript.

Online Submission

Authors must complete the following steps through the journal’s online submission portal:

• Register as an author and complete all mandatory profile information.
• Select the appropriate article category.
• Upload the anonymised manuscript where double-anonymous review applies.
• Upload the title page, cover letter, figures, highlights, graphical abstract, and supplementary materials separately where requested.
• Enter complete and accurate metadata for every author.
• Upload ethical approvals, permissions, proofreading evidence, and other supporting documents where applicable.
• Review every file, declaration, and metadata entry before confirming the submission.

The corresponding author will receive an acknowledgement after successful submission and may monitor the manuscript’s progress through the author dashboard.

Authors who publish with the Praxisara Journal of Sustainable Engineering retain copyright in their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The published work shall be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), which permits others to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, adapt, and reuse the work for lawful purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author or authors and the original publication in the journal is properly cited. Authors may enter into additional non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version, including deposit in an institutional repository or inclusion in a book, with acknowledgement of its first publication in this journal. By submitting a manuscript, the authors confirm that the work is original, does not unlawfully infringe any third-party rights, and that all necessary permissions for copyrighted material have been obtained.
